IACT Mission Statement
IACT is committed to building a strong and enduring foundation from which the discoveries of grassroots explorers and frontline practitioners can be made accessible to those from advanced academic backgrounds, and equally, a conduit through which researchers can bring their findings directly to the practitioners who need them most. It is our goal to cultivate a living, breathing space where knowledge and wisdom converge in an eclectic, ever-evolving exchange of ideas and dialogue, enriching all who participate.
Training
In pursuit of the highest standards of educational excellence, IACT mandates that Certified Instructors deliver a curriculum comprising a minimum of 220 instructional hours. These hours are cumulative and extend beyond the physical classroom to encompass internship placements, supervised practice, independent research, homework assignments, and reading. Many of our instructors go well beyond this minimum, reflecting IACT’s culture of genuine dedication to quality education..
History
Founded in 1990 by Steven and Jillian LaVelle, IACT quickly established a reputation for excellence, including through its celebrated publication, Unlimited Human! Its goal was to reach beyond the ordinary and offer the complementary healthcare community a premier magazine that spotlighted extraordinary ideas and insights capable of enriching members’ professional, personal, and business lives. Previous editions featured contributions by luminaries such as Dr. Bernie Siegel, Dr. Jean Houston, and Dr. Deepak Chopra, a testament to the caliber of thought IACT has always championed.
Vision
Now more than ever, there is an undeniable urgency for complementary healthcare practitioners to stand together. IACT’s vision is to illuminate the path of unity, to create a welcoming and inspiring space where practitioners from every corner of the healing arts can gather under one umbrella, explore new horizons, deepen their expertise, and reignite their passion for the diverse and powerful disciplines of holistic healthcare.
